National Chemotherapy Drug Shortage

Platinum drug shortages were first reported to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on February 10, 2023. Currently, a U.S. shortage of carboplatin and cisplatin exists that may last for several months. As communications manager at SGO, my role was to generate and distribute critical information on our social media platforms and disseminate rapid email communications in real time to our membership and patient and advocate constituents.
